Villa Puri Bayu Bali is located in Sayan village close to famous Ubud. Puri Bayu means "the castle of the wind". This is a perfect name for the villas as it is the "estuary" of the fresh breeze from the famous Ayung river. Entering the compound of the villa, the atmosphere of tropical country is so strong, the entrance is dominated by many giant teak where birds happily sing and crickets live.
The villa consists of two buildings: the main house and the guesthouse. The two buildings are the evidence of a high appreciation given by the owner to the Balinese culture. The organic nature of architectural materials and open verandahs blends each pavilion into the site. The design and site planning are classic and timeless. The view from the terrace leads distant "sawah" fields dotted with banana and coconut trees. Puri Bayu is their truly perfect home in Bali.
 
The Main House
The main house is a total genuine Balinese style house with two stairs. Upstairs is the Master bed room with all wooden polished floors. The wardrobe is a magnificent antique cupboard. Bedroom is equipped with a mosquito net, 29" TV, Video, Laser disc, and en-suite bathroom. The master bathroom features two small bathtubs - one with hot & cold and the other with only cold. Also features a separate shower recesses, a washbasin (hot & cold water) and vanity recess etc. Sliding glass windows on three sides of the room provide a magnificent view of the 'Ayung River' & the rice fields beyond.
The Living Room
Downstairs is an open-plan living area with stunning views of the Ayung River. Furnished with a low table cushions (seats 4 - 6). There is also a formal sofa in the living room, which seats six. There is also an excellent stereo system (with C.D. etc) in the living area. From the living area, doorways lead to the master bedroom on the first floor, and the downstairs bathroom. An office, which is separate from the main living area by a partition, is equipped with an I.D.D. phone (& fax). The living area is also equipped with a bathroom built in a black tiled terrazzo floor. The amenities include a shower, toilet and hot & cold water supply.
 
The Kitchen
The kitchen is situated down stairs adjacent to the living area. It features an open-plan breakfast bar on two sides (6 bar stools), large stove/oven, and large fridge, with loads of storage space; complete with numerous labor saving devices.

The Guest-house is also a Balinese style building with single storey alang-alang roof. It is located at the southern direction of the main house. As the size is smaller, it is fitted only with a double bed with mosquito net. Its semi open style bathroom is very unique. The shower is on a "cave" separated from the bathtub. The toilet is also like on a small cave and separated from the shower. This bathroom also serves as a pool shower, therefore it can be accessed from the pool area.
he owner has a high sense of art. The unique pool is the evidence. The style of the pool can not be found at another villa in Bali. It seems that the user of the pool is invited to swim in a river in the jungle of Bali! The poolside is just like a riverside without just a piece of tile! The asymmetrical swimming pool (approx.11 m X 5 m) is located between the main house & the guesthouse.
